FAQ

Max. material inlet pressure PWork  :

The allowed working pressure has to be lower than this value. PWork can appear dynamic. This dynamic pressure can be more than PWork temporary (range of minutes). The allowed overstepping is between10 – 20 %. It should be noted that for special products additional recommended pressure descriptions are necessary.

Maximum pressure PMax  :

This pressure must not occur dynamically. PWork can occur at DOPAG machines, when the outlet valve closes abruptly and the pump still works. Therefore this pressure has to be relieved during longer waiting times.

Mechanical resistance :

Property

Definition

No specific resistance

Application for unfilled or non-abrasive media.

Increased resistance

Application for slightly abrasive media. Parts are made of hardened materials.

Wear resistant

Application for abrasive media. Parts are made of hard metal or have coated surfaces.

Chemical resistance metals :

Property

Definition

No specific resistance

Application for non-aggressive or non-acidic media (pH value 5-9).

Parts of the valve are made of aluminum or steel.

Increased resistance

Application for aggressive media (pH value 4-10).

Parts of the valve are made of A2 grade stainless steel.

Stainless

Application for aggressive media (pH value 0-14).

Parts of the valve are made of stainless steel in A4 quality.

Chemical resistance non-metals :

Property

Definition

No specific resistance

Application for non-aggressive or non-acidic media (pH value 5-9).

Parts are made of e.g. FPM, NBR.

Increased resistance

Application for aggressive media (pH value 3-12). Parts are e.g. made of Turcon, Zurcon.

High resistance

Application for aggressive media (pH value 0-14). Parts are e.g. made of PTFE, FFPM.

EPDM

Application for aggressive media (pH value 5-14), greases and mineral oils excluded.
